Team Chat
Talk with your workspace in channels and direct messages.
What it is
Team Chat is a chat space for each workspace. Everyone in the workspace starts with the #all and #watercooler channels, and you can add your own channels or send direct messages to a teammate. Messages arrive instantly, and unread messages show on the Team Chat tab.
Open Team Chat
Click Team Chat in the top menu for the full view, or use the Team Chat tab on the right edge of the screen to open it beside your work.
Mentions and tasks
Type @ and a name to mention someone. Select messages to turn a conversation into a task, so follow-ups never get lost.
Who can see what
Chat belongs to one workspace. People only see the channels and direct messages they are part of, and nothing is shared with other workspaces or with customers. Owners can turn Team Chat on or off in workspace settings on plans that include it.
