Trash and recover deleted tasks

What happens when a task is deleted

Deleting a task moves it to Trash instead of removing it immediately. Active task lists no longer show it, and its Google Task and Calendar copies are cleaned up.

Open Trash

Choose Task tools → Trash. Deleted tasks remain there for 30 days. After that, the nightly cleanup permanently removes them.

Permissions

Employees can move to Trash and restore tasks they created. Owners and Managers can manage deleted tasks within their normal workspace scope.

Restore or permanently delete

Choose Restore to return a task to the workspace. Choose permanent deletion only when you are certain the task is no longer needed. Permanent deletion cannot be undone.
